Owners of HTC One and HTC Butterfly are eagerly waiting for the update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, promised to happen every day now. The first day of June made some of the users of both phones happy with an update of several of the international models of HTC One. The Sense 5.0 arrived with the same name and a few changes that make an impression but don’t change significantly the User Interface. For now the update is available for only a few of the models of HTC One and HTC Butterfly. Soon the update will appear on the carriers’ models and later on, the phones without carrier will be upgraded.
What are the benefits of the new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean? There were some noticeable minor changes in the interface that are not worth mentioning right now. The more significant improvement brings the option to expand the function of the Home button. Now, after the users hold down the Home button (which can be found in the bottom right corner below the screen for HTC One) they can access Google Now and set a long-press option to access the menu key.
Another interesting change in the UI is about the app drawer and the dock. After the update, the dock can be made bare. The icons on the screen can stick to the drawer, even in cases when they get pushed to the dock. One of the most favorite changes that the update brought we have seen in stock Android 4.2.2. It is called “Daydream” – screensaver oddity that allows you to choose whatever you want to appear during charging, docking etc.
After the update, owners of HTC One and HTC Butterfly can work with EQS – the Android-native sound profiles. They can be managed via tapping on the EQS icons. In addition, users will be able to see the battery level and an indicator, now disposed right next to the icon for the battery.
